A letter of love

I wanted to share with you all an excerpt from a letter I shared with a friend of mine. As I wrote him this letter of love, I felt that I was to share a small portion of it with ev everyone. I trust that you all receive it.

Be encouraged my friend....I know that sounds so silly but it is not. Go has called you to follow Him even when you do not understand,or when it is conveinient,or when it is popular. I know this first hand becuase I have been living by faith for some time. What I mean is that Jesus called me to leave everything I know and want behind and I have been pressing in to do His will and only His will for about 10 yrs or more. I have been saved for over 20 but in 2000 God had me leave all to follow Him and let Him provide for me everything I need.

In that time you might say that I have lost everything yet gained everything. I have been hurt and beaten yet I have a joy that cannot be manufactured. People do not understand me yet that does not bother me.
I say this because You are walking in this light just as I am and just as those before us have.

I think of a man called HUDSON TAYLOR do you know of Him? Have you read of Him? if not DO IT you will find help. Or what of Smith Wigglesworth or Reese Howells or my favorite, LORAN HELM He was my mentor and friend.

You see God wants you to lean on HIM for everything and I mean EVERYTHING. Not just in ideas or thoughts be for all your needs. He will provide for you what you need when you need it. But there will be a cost. It will be a heavy cost. It will take everything that is in you to pay it, you see there will be a cross waiting just for you yet on the other side of it there is a resurection power that will come into your life that know one will be able to create or manufacture.

I know that you may already know all of this but it is good review. You see just when we are at our weakest God is at His best. He is waiting for you and me to just give up and give in and say UNCLE I quit. Then He can come with His power and strength and show forth His glory in your life and mine.

So Here you are out in the wilderness trusting God, made the move by Faith and God made the provision for you to get there. Do not let doubt come into your mind becauseif God did not want you there He would have stopped you some how. He would have made a way to get that point across to the trusting heart. And when I right that the LORD works in my heart with power.

He is our Father He knows what is best. He has been cheering you onwards into the land of obedience towards his will. He wants you to take a leap of faith. He wants to lead you to higher hieghts and deeper seas. The only way to get there is to say good bye to the "I" the "me" This thing in you that tries to figure everything out, that tries to plan and purpose things. When you are faced with a situation like you are now you try to figure a way out instead of letting God have His way with you and slay this inner self out of you. You see when we do this and He has his way and we die,Praise the LORD He resurects us and His power is made manifest in our lives and He will get all the glory.

Finnaly,

He knows that you are struggling, He knows that you are unsure of what to do, He knows that you are doing all that you know how to do. He knows "you" He LOVES YOU and Has the very best stored up for you. God gives the best to those who leave the choice to Him. never you mind all of those thoughts of doubt in your heart right now. Pay no attention to what it looks like, do not focus your eyes on what you think it is only say to God," You got me here, I am yours, I have no plan other than to let you slay me and use me as your love slave"
